Women in Technology Conference

Technology Trends, Innovation and Challenges

Today, Women are groundbreaking forerunners
in the Technology space!

Event Overview

According to research, twenty years ago, women were not seen as innovators – Technology was the only STEM discipline where the participation of women was marginal. Gender diversity in technology was a less spoken about term. Literature examining the impact of women in the workplace — specifically women collaborating on teams and in leadership roles — demonstrated the need for and impact of having more women in technology. Greater gender diversity in technology was enforced and calls for more female participation in the economy had grown louder as women tried to enter previously male- dominated terrain.

That is not the case anymore! Today, Women are groundbreaking forerunners in the Technology space! South African Women, in particular, are taking their well-earned place in the ICT sector. Women have not just become participative – they are leading innovation and inspired female leadership in Technology is the new buzz word.
